Rob Elliott Honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award

Market Street Trust Company board member, Rob Elliot, received this year's Family Wealth Report Lifetime Achievement Award.

We are pleased to share that Rob Elliott, a board member of Market Street Trust Company since 2012 and Vice Chairman of the company from 2014 to 2017, received this year's Family Wealth Report (FWR) Lifetime Achievement Award.

The award places Rob among some of the most influential and respected people in the industry who have won the award previously, including noted author on family wealth issues, James E Hughes, Jr., awarded in 2017, and the founder of the Institute for Private Wealth, Charlotte Beyer, was awarded this honor in 2015.

In response to the award, Market Street Trust Company President and CEO Kara Pass commented:

“We are so excited to see Rob Elliott honored with the FWR Lifetime Achievement Award. We’re fortunate to have him as part of the Market Street family, and we’re pleased to join Family Wealth Report in recognizing Rob for his many contributions to the industry, to our firm, and to so many client families.

“Toward the end of an extremely successful career with Bessemer Trust, Rob joined our Board of Directors in 2012. After retiring from Bessemer, Rob officially became part of our team two years later as Vice Chairman, becoming the head of our newly conceived New York City office, a venture in which he was critically involved in planning and bringing to fruition.

“Having officially ‘retired’ from day-to-day duties in late 2017, Rob remains an active and incredibly engaged member of our Board. He brings to every situation years of industry experience, personal dedication, and a healthy amount humor and camaraderie. In an industry full of great people and so many with accomplished careers, there are few more deserving than Rob.”

Though the ceremony could not take place this year due to safety risks, Rob was honored with wonderful words from the FWR staff. Those remarks describe him as the extraordinary executive and person that we at Market Street Trust know him to be.

“After his retirement from Bessemer Trust at 65 years of age, he did do more. Having joined the board of directors of Market Street Trust Co during his final years at Bessemer, he was persuaded to go back inside as vice chairman responsible for their growth, specifically focused on building their New York presence.  He retired for a second time in late 2017 and remains on Market Street’s board.

“A deeply skilled client advisor, he could process client needs and suggest solutions across an array of disciplines. A lawyer by training with a towering intellect, he also possessed a high `EQ’ and could relate to a wide range of client prototypes adhering to the maxim, “Clients don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”
