The S&P 500 closed the quarter at a record high, capping off a very strong 10.6% return for the first three months. Not only was this one of the best starts to a year, but the S&P 500 is up 28% in its last 100 or so trading days(103 to be precise). Additionally, market returns broadened during February and March, a positive sign of confidence, with small cap stocks (Russell 2000)leading the way over the larger S&P 500 those two months.
